Workshop Overview
This workshop empowers participants to cultivate a resilient, visionary, and spiritually grounded entrepreneurial mindset based on Qur’anic guidance and the Prophetic example. Participants will learn to navigate challenges with Tawakkul (trust in Allah), lead with sincerity and integrity, and build ventures that serve both dunya and akhirah.

- Address ego traps: greed, arrogance, haste — through spiritual self-regulation

- Redefine risk and failure from an Islamic worldview

Day 2: External Expression – Skills & Strategies

- Learn about fikr (strategic thought) and ijtihad (creative reasoning) in business innovation
- Evaluate business ideas through the lens of community benefit (maslahah)
- Workshop: Refine your business idea or mission using an Islamic opportunity filter

- Apply shura (consultation) and ethical decision-making models
- Learn how to attract barakah through sincerity, service, and justice
- Simulation: Lead a values-based decision in a group startup scenario

Associate Professor Dr. Saridan Abu Baka
Associate Professor Dr. Saridan Abu Bakar is an academic specializing in entrepreneurship and management at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in Malaysia. He holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from Universiti Sains Malaysia and an MBA from Drake University. He is associated with the Arshad Ayub Graduate Business School (AAGBS) at UiTM.
Dr. Saridan Abu Bakar's research interests include entrepreneurship, particularly in the context of micro-enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). He has published research on topics such as the transformation of micro-enterprises into SMEs, strategies for Malaysian biotechnology SMEs to navigate market turbulence, and the role of business coaching in the success of women micro-entrepreneurs. He has also contributed to the field of Islamic management
